Autumn Motorsport Day

Brooklands Museum

Sunday, October 13th

Now a firm fixture in the motoring calendar, visitors to Autumn Motorsport Day get a double helping of action. Competition cars from all ages will be put through their paces on the adjacent Mercedes-Benz World circuit and later in the day Test Hill will be in action. Expect to see a wide variety of competition cars from Formula 1, F5000 and GTs to touring cars and Group B rally cars. As ever, spectators will have the rare opportunity to see and hear competition cars at close quarters.

Will aim to arrange convoy to be there by 9am closer to the date.

Let me know who's joining

this looks interesting.. I'm going to London on Sat so if I can find a cheap hotel I wouldn't mind tagging along.

Will keep you posted.

EDIT: I think I'm almost there.. just need to book a hotel and buy a ticket..

Concorde is a bonus too!

EDIT 2:@VAD17 I'm all booked up (hotel + advance day tix) so I'm confirmed :)

Are we having a club display Vadim?  Do we buy tickets as individuals and hope they park us together? Have I missed this information somewhere?
I have asked them if we can have a club stand, received no reply either by email nor returned call. Will try calling again, but expect no response again. If I manage to organise a club stand will update the post.

Suggestion is to meet up, convoy and park together.

Buy tickets online in advance

Well, after all that I have a clash!

My daughter has bought tickets for us to take the grandchildren to the Giants of Steam weekend at the Bluebell railway.  The tickets are for sunday, so a separate visit to Brooklands will be necessary for me.  Thanks for organising, Vadim.

Indeed Nick.  Two big engines.  Grandchildren love the drama, and how large the driving wheels are!  My kids can still name all the Thomas the Tank Engines from back in the day!

Advance tickets purchased, list updated

I will try again to see if we can get a parking space together, but unlikely so any suggestions where to meet and convoy are welcome

I have managed to contact Phil from Brooklands Museum, but still not clear whether they can get us a dedicated parking space

Potential options to meet:

a) Shell station KT13 0RP

b) Parking lot near Kaffe Kix KT13 0XP (café closed on Sundays though)

Both are couple mins from the Museum

Gates open at 9:00am so suggest we meet around 8:30-8:45am to convoy together
