Right, lets see if we have some interest for lunch after the event

Possible venues

(1) The Folly

https://www.follyinntowcester.co.uk/our_menus.html

(2) The White Horse

https://www.thewhitehorsesilverstone.co.uk/

Any other suggestions?

May be a bit too early to commit but shout if you're interested and we can book a table for say 12 or 12:30 ish

I'd be interested but 12:30 may be a bit early for those doing track time, pretty sure sessions normally run up to 12

You doing track time? Is it better than typical action day?

But we can do 1pm or 1:30 if its more convenient.

I will be doing tracktime too, It's usually 30 min sessions. After seeing videos of Action days I would try to avoid them, but these sessions are quite enjoyable and the people who take part usually have common sense.

I think last time there was a PHSS on at Silverstone we went to the Fox and Hounds at Whittlebury (Which is about 5 mins away from)

Yeah it's much better than an action day, I'd certainly recommend doing a session as it's pretty much the cheapest way to do some track time at Silverstone, even if it is just the national circuit. Other drivers are generally well behaved too.

There should also be 3 track sessions in the afternoon available for PHers (looks like 14:10/ 14:45/ 15:20)

I see Simon and Danny already registered (with track time :D). I might do track session as well.

Lets see:

1) Who else is up for a track session?

2) Who would like to do a lunch at Fox and Hounds? and 1:00pm or after track time?

Will get my name down!

No track for me as I am saving the last of my tyres for Bedford before the stock wheels go back on for winter.

I mentioned this at the essex pub meet on Wednesday so hopefully some more takers. Up for lunch as well if that works with the track time??

I'll be there, also the PH track sessions will be in the morning, the afternoon ones are Silverstone's own taster days once PHSS has finished. The link to book the discounted PH track time is going live later this afternoon.

Great, thank for the info.

Who's up for lunch at 1:00pm then?

Ok, just over a week to go. Think over next few days and respond if:

1) interested to convoy to Silverstone so we can park together.

We can meet at Jacks Hill Café (NN12 8ET) around 8:00 am or Shell station nearby (NN12 6HN)

2) interested in lunch at Fox and Hounds (NN12 8XJ) at 1:30pm.

If there are at least 3 or 4 of us interested I will book a table

Also to note the spaces have filled up fast. Might be worth getting on the list now.

I have added my name to the list but will remove a couple of days before if I can't make it.

Plan to attend if the weather is good and there are a few people going. But Local Maldon cars and coffee meet is on the same day so am tempted by that also <_<

I will be there, have a track session so will be arriving 8:00ish.

Not sure how many of us will be there, can decide whether to go for lunch afterwards.

Weather wise may turn out to be a bit wet though
