cropzy 66 Report post Posted July 22, 2017 Hi. Anybody know of a bonnet bra for the 86? Kind of getting annoyed at stone chips. Google returned nothing. Can anyone help?

Steeps 294 Report post Posted July 22, 2017 Fit something to the car so it looks like ass 99% of the time so it looks good when it comes to sell on, compared to the car looking 99% good. 1 Lauren reacted to this
Lauren 2259 Report post Posted July 22, 2017 These are a horriffic trend from the US. They look just terrible. The bonnet doesn't rust, so there is that. But stone chips are inevitable I'm afraid. I chose not to worry about it.
sam534 62 Report post Posted July 23, 2017 Is OP referring to the black 'covers' that lay over the bottom half of the bonnet, or a clear film bonded to the whole front end? That's what I thought was being asked as that wouldn't look bad Sent from my STF-L09 using Tapatalk
Nimz 70 Report post Posted July 23, 2017 I've never understood these "oh I've got a 2mm chip in the paint, I'll cover it with a giant bit of leather so you can't see it." Madness. 1 Foulsmell reacted to this

cropzy 66 Report post Posted July 23, 2017 Aight. I get the idea. Just thought it would be useful for function rather then style. I do agree some of them look horrid. But they don't seem to exist for the 86 so I can't get one anyways. Will have to look into other options for paint protection.
Nimz 70 Report post Posted July 23, 2017 You can get a clear wrap which, if done well, will be more or less invisible. Doesn't help the bits that have been damaged already but will help prevent further chips. Or just leave it and try not to worry about the odd chip, its a car not a Faberge egg
will300 812 Report post Posted July 23, 2017 PPF is the way forward, it's not cheap mind but definitely worth it if you plan on keeping the car along time Here's a demo of one product:
