Lucas 244 Report post Posted July 19, 2017 I want to go for something aggressive, my only concern is clearance.. 18x9.5J ET35 is what I want. I've got Whiteline springs with 25mm drop all round, but if the dampers are going to be an issue, i might just get cusco coilovers to avoid rubbing? What do you think? smudge 1020 Report post Posted July 19, 2017 No issues with my 9.5J ET35 wheels, even went up to ET30 and managed to make them fit with 235/35 tyres ET35: ET30: 1 Lucas reacted to this

Thanks for the pic! That gave me the peace of mind I needed. I want to avoid buying expensive coilovers for a little while. I'm gonna go 225 all round with NS-2R's
smudge 1020 Report post Posted July 19, 2017 Wouldn't recommend 225 on a 9.5J...

Saw this on FB - picture of a 9.5" wheel and where it would foul stock springs and dampers. 2 Lucas and will300 reacted to this
TTR 509 Report post Posted July 22, 2017 I definitely wouldn't go 225 on a 9.5" wide wheel. I run 235/40 and that was pretty stretched.
KevinA 695 Report post Posted July 22, 2017 I ran 18x9.5 et35 with 235/40/18 on stock suspension for a while, very close on the springs but no problems. Now different on coilovers and lots of negative camber.
Ztox 230 Report post Posted August 22, 2017 Did you go for the 9.5 with 225 tyres in the end @Lucas@PartBox? I run 9.5 with a 235/40 NS-2R, so the same tyre you were looking at and I wouldn't want to stretch them more than that.
Lucas 244 Report post Posted August 22, 2017 @Ztox Last minute decision on suspension set up wouldn't allow me 9.5s so 8.5 with 225/40/18 it is. I ended up not going for coilovers, but Cusco touring A witih eCon2 with whiteline lowering springs. http://www.cusco.co.jp/en/parts_product/touring-a_shock_absorbers.html
