KobayashiMaru 28 Report post Posted June 20, 2016 Tempted to get some for my 86 but where's the best place to get them? Import from Japan or is there a UK supplier? They'll have to be street legal in the UK.
smudge 1020 Report post Posted June 20, 2016 @Tarmac can probably get them
KobayashiMaru 28 Report post Posted June 20, 2016 This seller on ebay has them but in Japan.http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TOMS-TOMS-LED-Tail-Light-Red-TOYOTA-86-ZN6-2012-04-onwards-FA20-81500-TZN64-/281936111372?hash=item41a4b3a70c:g:90sAAOSwHjNV-myV 1 Mark-in-Stoke reacted to this
rob275 1817 Report post Posted June 20, 2016 I'd get them from Japan Parts, not something that's stocked by anyone in the UK. Few valenti's knocking about but who wants them? https://www.japanparts.com/parts/detail/43297
Keethos 842 Report post Posted June 20, 2016 I thought Fensport sells them? Didn't Ian get his from Fensport?

Keethos 842 Report post Posted June 20, 2016 Yes like Tareim said, don't trust the stock levels on the site, best contact direct because they probably already have some in stock but not updated the website or even if they are out, they would order some in for you. KobayashiMaru 28 Report post Posted June 21, 2016 Postage was the only thing putting me off. What postage did you get and how long did it take? Trying to think of another reason to go back to Japan and bring these back in hand luggage
long-gone 152 Report post Posted June 21, 2016 Check they're UK/EU spec wherever you buy them. I mistakenly bought a set of US spec which are now gathering dust in the loft.

I'll have them if they're just going to waste 1 long-gone reacted to this

Nicebiscuit 655 Report post Posted June 21, 2016 Presumably the American ones have red tail lamps, red indicators, red marker lights, and red reversing lights. Much safer, you see... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
KobayashiMaru 28 Report post Posted June 22, 2016 Presumably these are just plug and play? I sometimes see mention of a relay to fit too
Kodename47 446 Report post Posted June 23, 2016 I'd have thought they would need the relay replacing.
long-gone 152 Report post Posted June 23, 2016 Yarp. Only two minute under-dash job though. 1 KobayashiMaru reacted to this

Kodename47 446 Report post Posted June 27, 2016 Standard flasher relay doesn't work with LEDs.
Keethos 842 Report post Posted June 27, 2016 Aren't the Valenti's LED's? Mine are working fine I think.....is it just to make them flash as the same pace or they just flat out don't work?

The Valentis may well have resistors built in.
KobayashiMaru 28 Report post Posted November 3, 2016 This is how it looks, although most have seen Tom's on a white 86 before. Relay was a bit stiff to get out but apart from that it was straightforward. Worth taking the light off anyway to get rid of the crap behind them 1 Keethos reacted to this
