Question: have you been stopped by police for the rear lights? I'm thinking to buy smoked for mine but I don't know about legality

Sent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk

The rear lights are buddy club, they aren't actually smoked mate. No I haven't been pulled over for any of the mods. They all conform to the rules and regs so I shouldn't be fingers crossed. The Valenti smoked are sold as 'not for road use' but there are many members on here that are running them, and have no problem what so ever.

Took her to Cars and Coffee Liverpool on Sunday, what a day. A well organised event, and some fantastic cars there, so here are a few pictures I've pinched off the facebook page taken by other people (I hope they don't mind me using them):

I had to lift the rear suspension as the wheels were slightly catching on the newly installed splash guard.

Needless to say I am incredibly happy with the end result. Nigel has done a cracking job with the arches, which fit perfectly and Lee from Autokraft has done a spot on job with the installation of the kit!

The wheels are extreme, I think this is the perfect to describe them. Rich from Demon Tweeks has managed to get the 10.5" Wide ET46 rears to fit, using -5 deg of camber. For all those people who say it isn't practical I know, but in the flesh it looks stunning, and lets be honest it isn't a practical car.

However I did fit the baby seat in the back yesterday and we went out for a family journey in it.

A lot of modifying was required to get the fronts to fit, not modifying Nigels arches but the actual car arch as the wheels were too wide. On full lock the wheels only just miss the back of the front headlight unit by a few mm. Some welding and reinforcing was required, but whey they finally fit.

Anyway more photos soon. Hope you like.

Had a productive Sunday installing my new Whiteline Strut brace from Tuning Developments. Easy to fit, and very light. It compliments the engine bay very well :) I do need to give the engine bay a good clean prior to Japfest, anyone recommend a good product for this?

Been a while since I've done an update. Not a lot has happened as such with the build. A few decals have been applied for extra bhp, and I've been messing around with the suspension set up. She's also been featured in this months Banzai magazine.

As I've been attending a number of car shows, I seem to be continually altering the ride height. Low for the show and then raise it up for daily use. As much as I love my coilovers, I am rather tempted by the ease of air suspension. This would make it would so much easier, as most of you know the car isn't set up for the track, I seem to be enjoying the show scene at the moment.

Although after speaking to a representative of Air Lift Performance at FittedUK last weekend, It's very interesting to see how far their management systems have come over the past few years. Food for thought.

Here are a few pictures of the last few shows and a few from Banzai:

Stripped the interior panels this weekend, ready for the hydrographics (Gold carbon weave). Fairly straight forward job, a philips and flat head did the job. The biggest pain was the two silver pieces of trim either side of the air con controls. to remove then you need to remove the whole centre console.

This morning I dropped the car off at the bodywork garage, for the wide body kit to fitted. As most of you know it's not an easy kit to fit. Cutting, welding, preparing the panels etc is required prior to fitting. The car will be in there for 2 -3 weeks, Let the transformation begin...

Yeah it looks sick. Is there a way round changing the maps? Or does it require a laptop being plugged in etc?

Also, which boss kit did you use for fitment?

Neither is Adam's car ;)

That was a good one, I'll give you that 😂

I used the HKB boss kit. Really easy to fit to be fair. Yeah Lauren, you can get the cruise control to fit, just takes a bit of DIY. It requires a remap, I had mine done at Fensport when having the turbo fitted. I have to now push the accelerator to the floor and press the heated windscreen button to change maps. I feel like James Bond everytime. 😉
