KevinA 695 Report post Posted July 23, 2015 I am enjoying the series too, and now getting used to the dynamics of the car. Looking forward to the rest of the season.
Steeps 294 Report post Posted August 5, 2015 Bump! Croft is fast approaching. Got some cards printed as I had a few people ask where to find the photos (although most know where the links are now, still useful to have). 1 chillismoke reacted to this

adam_d 7 Report post Posted August 16, 2015 It was great to meet a few people at Croft today. Here are a few photos of mine, all blurry and wonky ones left in. Can't promise my photography skills are up to much. https://www.flickr.com/gp/102973208@N06/P39371 2 Keethos and 86alex reacted to this
Mike 458 Report post Posted August 16, 2015 Well that was a rather dramatic end to the sprint today On the 5th run I put in a 1'49.78 - Alec at the time was on a 1'49.74 but his 5th was a 1'49.05 so he kept his decent advantage. By this point, I was still struggling with remember which corners you could do flat until I was half way through the blasted corner and realised I'd just lost a chunk of time! The clock fast approached 4pm and the Javelin lot were still going so I thought that was it, but no, there was another run and time for my special quick lap I decided to get in the queue early and finally had a reasonable lap with no unnecessary lifting / braking for corners that didn't need it - set a time of 1'49.00 so 5 hundredths quicker than Alec so far! While waiting for Alec, we knew Lauren was chasing Kev's time of 1'44.63, Lauren came into view and the timing looked close, very close as she set a final time of 1'44.68 to just miss out to Kev by 5 hundredths. Then Alec comes into view, and again the timing looked close, very close, very close indeed! A 1'48.99! 1 blasted hundredth quicker 5 Jamie_GRMN, keelerad, rob275 and 2 others reacted to this
Lauren 2259 Report post Posted August 16, 2015 Indeed, some really hard fought battles going on today, just so close, you always felt it could easily go either way. Alas, not for the likes of you and I, Mike!
Mike 458 Report post Posted August 17, 2015 Lauren, look away now... 2nd to last run, inexplicable change to 3rd for barcroft and a too early turn in for tower

Polishingpedlar 49 Report post Posted August 17, 2015 Sorry I dashed off without saying good bye! Didn't gel with Croft really. I defiantly needed more track time so decided to pull the plug and get back down to Hampshire. Glad everyone else had a good time and looks like some close battles! See you all at Blyton.. 86alex 26 Report post Posted August 18, 2015 I had a great day too. The main thing i took away from this round is to get your car set up properly before you start. Thanks to Lauren's help and Keith's EDFC manual, my EDFC was calibrated after lunch and the car felt so much better after that. I just wish i'd had another 10-20 laps. It was a shame we didn't get all our laps in.
keelerad 256 Report post Posted August 18, 2015 OK I've started a playlist for Croft on the club youtube channel and added my videos and Mikeshttps://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLgrLzjG54SK8Un22Y-ALycq-VPLLG0VqDMy run 2 was the one where I had my moment at Barcroft 1'10s in Let me know if you find anymore vids from Croft and I'll add themAlec
Mike 458 Report post Posted August 18, 2015 As I didn't record my final run, you'll have to make do with a 0.04s difference for the comparison laps https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rQqRgFbQgoI 2 Keethos and keelerad reacted to this

Mike 458 Report post Posted August 18, 2015 Yea, the lap I used, I unnecessarily braked and dropped to 3rd for barcroft. That and the early turn in at tower and the stability stuff going mental and slowing me to ~40mph meant I lost a chunk in those 2 corners
Mike 458 Report post Posted August 19, 2015 Can never be too prepared so I've booked my entry... looked at the usual PI for Blyton, £74 currently... assuming that'll drop closer to the time...
Jamie_GRMN 177 Report post Posted August 26, 2015 Put my entry in for Blyton now, gone to book the usual PI and it's full... How many got rooms, where's everyone else planning on staying?
Mike 458 Report post Posted August 26, 2015 How can it be full a month in advance? :/ I didn't bother booking it because I've seen them drop in price closer to the time...

KevinA 695 Report post Posted August 26, 2015 Very early to be booked up, guess we will have to find somewhere else.
Steeps 294 Report post Posted August 26, 2015 I've noticed PI's get more expensive the longer you wait, which is why I've had the joy of any local hotel I could find. Adds to the drama of the weekend and the change is quite nice. Looking at £42/night including breakfast for Blyton just working out if I want to include the track day too.
