Qu1ckn1ck 44 Report post Posted May 26, 2014 Apparently the GT86 is priced well under the Mazda MX5 in Australia, hence the booming sales.
Keethos 842 Report post Posted May 27, 2014 Is that £16k for the same spec (GTS is it) as our UK spec GT86 though? The FR-S is roughly £16k but you get bugger all spec wise........which side of the road they drive in? Maybe I could get one, and spec the aero kit
CHOSENMAN007 81 Report post Posted June 1, 2014 Ahh mate u.k sucks on prices. Imagine the parts you can buy with the 8k left over from a standard 25k 86. Madness. Who the heck does u.k marketing? I guess its all the tea breaks at the u.k factory! : )
Lauren 2259 Report post Posted June 1, 2014 They drive on the left in Australia/New Zealand. Less money to buy will mean a lower spec to a degree. You need to understand what import duty/VAT is added too. It varies. If you want to buy a GT in Norway it's hideously expensive due to very high import taxes due to emissions. So there are countries where buying a GT86 is way more than it is in the UK. All GT's are built in Gunma, Japan, James.
