faith 237 Report post Posted January 12, 2014 Had an absolutely fantastic time yesterday at the AutoSport. It was great meeting up with you guys I took a lot of photos, and rather than try and upload them all onto this thread, you can see them all on my Facebook page:https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10152508375862646.1073741849.821767645&type=1&l=f3abdf5548

Keethos 842 Report post Posted January 13, 2014 Well......didn't really take many photo's but did take some pics of some rather interesting motors which Faith seemed to have missed MP12 as a Police car? You would though wouldn't you But what are they used for? Rapid response to get just 2 cops to a location as quick as possible? You wouldn't really want to use it as an interceptor type of police car would you? Wouldn't want to run the risk of damaging the car at all......even though it wouldn't my car.....still wouldn't want to ruin such an expensive vehicle....think about the paper work you'd have report FYI, those wheels are terrible!!! You can see someone's knocked the rear bumper as it's hanging off slightly Subtle sides but a massive front bumper and a great big wing. Not a massive fan on the sparkly candy purple but did rather like the wide body kit, do wished the 86 had a bit more flared arches.....ah well.....that's what body kits are for I suppose Picture looks awesome but it's terrible in the flesh, the surface is all smeared and scuffed/swirls And that's it.....couldn't be arsed to take anymore but there were a lot of nice motors there! Sideways? 33 Report post Posted January 14, 2014 I'm a member of the same club as the guy with the Orange GT86 you said had terrible wheels... needless to say I think the same, I could have had my car on that stand as well but I couldn't get organized in time... :-( Pictures look good otherwise though, I think that Police car is just a publicity stunt... His car needed a machine polish! Who's is it? i recognise the number plate. The police car is most likely used to liase with problematic youths in their Saxo VTR's. They used to have a lotus they often took to madeira drive on brighton seafront. No idea if they still have it. Nice pictures! Is that Cobra car runnig the HKS SC kit? It's got a Turbo, cant remember which one. Greddy? Doesn't work though lol.

Rab 60 Report post Posted January 15, 2014 I need those discs & calipers in my life - wow! My to-do list is sooooooooo long!
Special K 442 Report post Posted January 16, 2014 Rab, it's not only the cost of the AP brakes - it's also 18" rims. That's a lorra lorra money... It's why I've gone for Stoptech disks and K-Sport calipers - they fit inside the 17" rims, although if you change the bottom suspension arm (I've gone Summit) you also need to fit Eibach hubcentric spacers if running the OEM rims. Rab 60 Report post Posted January 16, 2014 I had a look at prices last night, they're not cheap! Means I would need a rethink regards my winters too as the piddley little 16s would need to go. I've already ordered my new wheels (19s) for the summer and sold the OEMS, I was never a fan of them. I'm planning to go 300+ before the summer and do the suspension at the same time as the wheels go on, so that only leaves the brakes to be done really and a few little cosmetics. Its probably just as well I didn't make it down to autosport, I'd be flat broke! (Instead of fat bloke lol!)
Special K 442 Report post Posted January 16, 2014 <chuckle> You're going 19"... ?! You'll definitely need big brakes... the OEM disks/calipers will look stoopidly small inside those rims, I reckon! What tyres are you planning to run? I suppose you can go up in profile if necessary as you're running the 4.7 final drive, yes? Spec K

Yeah, It's gonna need dinner plates! Those saucers are going to be drowned behind those wheels lol!
