Deacon 1357 Report post Posted October 10, 2020 My cars having a regular maintenance wash done since it was detailed as their prices are crazyy good and it saves me trying to try and find the time to do it. Had the inside and outside done this time.
Deacon 1357 Report post Posted October 10, 2020 Bought some new front brake pads as my PFC.08's were starting to get a bit past it after 10 trackdays on them. I've gone for PFC's again but PFC.11 this time which are meant to have even better braking performance at the cost of a little longevity. The braking on the PFC.08's is fantastic so the fact these are supposed to be even better is something I'm struggling to comprehend. These, along with a couple of other little changes, should hopefully give me pretty decent braking for my final trackday of the year at the club day on the 21/11. 1 Luke reacted to this
Deacon 1357 Report post Posted October 11, 2020 Just to add to the information on tyre weights I've put on here the AD08RS in 224/45/17 weigh in at 10.5kg. Many thanks to @Kaltorak for providing me with the info as I'd forgotten to weigh them myself.
Deacon 1357 Report post Posted October 13, 2020 Next part of the brake upgrade arrived today. I wanted to try Castrol SRF but didn't fancy remortgaging so this seemed the next best choice as it has a decently high dry and (more importantly) wet boiling point. 1 willclarke reacted to this
Deacon 1357 Report post Posted October 17, 2020 I collected the rest of the brake upgrade today I've gone with the Reyland AP BBK with curved internal vein J hook discs. These should hopefully work very nicely with the PFC.11 pads and Motul RBF660 fluid. Discs are 330mm 2 Lmc and Lauren reacted to this
Luke 193 Report post Posted October 17, 2020 Very jealous. I can’t wait to get a set of these some day. Hopefully they perform just as good as they look. 1 Deacon reacted to this

Oil was getting beyond 125C before the brakes even had a chance to fade otherwise. 56 minutes ago, Deacon said: No, been on stock brakes with steel lines, better fluid and track pads up until this goes on. BOBEL 73 Report post Posted October 17, 2020 You certainly won’t be sorry moving to the BBK, I’ve been running an AP BBK for the last four years on my track car and the performance is immense, As it happens I also run the motul fluid and have zero issues, and I really do lean on the brakes very heavily.Your only challenge now will be recalibrating your braking points with the new kit fitted, fun times ahead :-) 1 Deacon reacted to this

Deacon 1357 Report post Posted October 31, 2020 I've been using duct tape to block my oil cooler during winter but decided it was time for something a little less ghetto. I had a sheet of perspex in the garage so decided I'd cut that to shape, add some insulation foam to the rear and give that a try. I'll get a piece made in polycarbonate once I'm happy it works ok, with the size, etc
Deacon 1357 Report post Posted October 31, 2020 I got my Rayland BBK fitted yesterday at Rogue Motorsport. While fitting Mat found that one of my Whiteline roll centre correction kit boots had failed so that was also replaced. Bedding the pads in showed the stopping power of the PFC.11 is stupidly good. Look forward to getting to try them on track at the club trackday on November 21st (Covid permitting). 1 nerdstrike reacted to this
