Cigarette lighter; direct feed or ignition?

Hi guys,

I’m trying to wire a few things into my car and need an ignition cable to wire into. I’m going to use the easiest which is the cigarette lighter but dont know if it’s a live feed direct from battery or ignition feed that only gets power once the accessories are on/car started. 

Please could somebody test the the cigarette lighter (specifically the one in the glovebox) to see if it’s a live or ignition? Just plug your phone in to see if it charges without turning anything on, then turn accessories on and see if it starts charging then. 

I’d do it myself but my battery is flat and every time I charge it up the accessories come on automatically *groan*  so I can’t try it without accessories on. Don’t fancy wiring everything up to find out it’s direct and not ignition.
