infernouk 8 Report post Posted January 26, 2018 Hey all, Was giving my car a good full clean today and was disappointed to notice that my front right bumper as been damaged. It was uneven popped out, the side marker was out of place, i pushed it and it all seemed to pop back into alignment, but there is still this cosmetic damage... I assume this part is fibre glass and so Im kind of screwed in terms of fixing it? its just something i have to live with? Mostly likely it was sustained in a public carpark as those are the only places i leave my car Cheers, and included a couple pics of the finished clean so it isnt all negative! Mikey P 32 Report post Posted January 26, 2018 Fibreglass is easy to fix, cut back the cracks, new matting if needed and a bit of filler and paint. Bet a chips away type place would do a localised repair for less than £100 on that.

Deacon 1357 Report post Posted January 26, 2018 The bumpers aren't fiberglass they're made out of PU if I remember correctly (may be wrong on the PU but 100% on the not fiberglass!)

A spot repair place or body shop should be able to sort it. I had something very similar on my last car - think it cost about £220 to get fixed at a main dealer bodyshop 👍

GreenSpring 13 Report post Posted February 1, 2018 I had somebody rear end me and drive off, luckily, it mostly popped out and I was left with a smashed tail light, small dent and scratch, was still quoted around £300 for the repair by Chips away, ended up going with a cheaper shop as I was short on the money and I guess I got what I paid for, wasn't a great finish! I'd recommend spending the extra to get it done by a well-known shop. Also mine is white which is apparently hard to colour match so it may have upped the price?
