I will be on the standard exhaust if that helps ?

i will sort a meeting with you Mike,thanks 👍🏻

Stock exhaust is excellent for noise removal. @Nicebiscuit can confirm :)

Varelco, CAT options were not possible for us i'm afraid as cheaper units we don't feel will last long enough and more expensive units just make the overall cost far too high. The technicalities in the MOT law in regards to different CATs was also a factor we took into consideration :)

Thanks

Mike

My internet detective skills say he's in Manchester and so about 10mins from me.

@shiftspark if the above is true, can meet up somewhere if you want, can't do this weekend due to TSS but can do next weekend? Only had mine fitted a few days though :P

I need to have a listen to yours sometime soon...

As advertised; more power and torque so on that front exactly what I wanted.

However, it's just too loud. I'm taking mine to Infinity Exhausts tomorrow to hopefully bring it down to an acceptable level - otherwise I'll be reverting to OEM.

No criticism of Tuning Developments or their workmanship - I've been very happy with the standard of work and communication - I just bought the wrong thing for me.

Very happy now. Infinity has quietened mine right down and I no longer sound like a rowdy, asbo chav.

Still pulls strongly, no perceivable difference in delivery.

Yep. With second cat in situ and standard exhaust it's barely louder than stock. Sounds better though.

Put it this way - I may end up sticking a resonated cat-back on at some point as mine is possibly not quite chavvy enough yet

Morning all,

Just a quick note to say we've got good stock levels of the Tuning Package parts currently, both EL & UEL.

We got caught out a little by the popularity of the kit on its initial launch :) However have worked with our suppliers and gotten on top of things now.

Thanks

Mike

I have had this done for a little over a month have to say its worth every penny!!! I went with the EL with decat front pipe from TD too and with the ark DT-S catback soo it can get rather loud!! On the plus side cruising its not actually loud only when you get on it!

And with the map that mike and nick did just makes the car soo much more enjoyable to drive! Without being to drop a few gears to have power it just feels so good! And now i even have more mpgs then before! More power and still have better mpg its always a bonus! :D

Now im super excited to get my car back from TD after they put a turbo in my car :D

So, no problems passing MOT doing this?

How do people find it affects insurance?

MPG? Alas I have a 80 round mile trip commute that is all motorway.

Many people have sailed through MOT with the second CAT still in place. Insurance I couldn't answer i'm afraid you'd be best phoning your insurers and asking them. There are specialist insurers whom can accommodate most things should your existing insurer not agree with it.

MPG is usually slightly better in most cases, for commuting purposes it should be certainly no worse.

Thanks :)

Regarding insurance - I had the same problem with my original insurance and had to wait for it to elapse before TD did their thing. However renewing wasn't a problem and it barely affected the premium, and that's with coilovers and other cosmetic bits and bobs too.

At the end of the day you're only looking at a 10% power increase at most, which insurers who cover mods won't bat an eyelid at...

Could someone post a photo of this kit from the top - i.e. from the engine bay? I'm interested to see the top part of the manifold routing.

Cheers!

Thanks for the service at the weekend Mike. Here is the photo of the passed noise test from Oulton park with the EL manifold  kit, map and TD resonated cat back system on. Not sure if the 57 is the result as it sounds louder than this to me, either way no issues with being allowed on track!
