  2. Hi all, I have a problem with opening / closing my passenger window. I've read and tried the usual reset procedure, but it doesn't work. What works and doesn't work: window driver side is working good passenger window is not reacting to switch in drivers door passenger window is reacting to switch in passenger door, but: auto function is not working and it's only going a few inches up or down and then stops again and you have to let go the switch and push again. (It takes at least 7 times to get the window fully up or down) LED switch passenger side is blinking, on driversside both the LED's are normal continuously on. I've tried also hard reset with deconnecting the battery for 15 minutes and tried the procedure with holding the switches 10 seconds up and down, but nothing works so far. Who can help?

  7. Hi all, I've currently got a pair of vland headlights for sale. They have been involved in a light front accident, the drivers side headlight has a few missing/broken brackets. Would a muffler delete be too loud?

Hi guys,As the subject title suggests, I’m wondering whether a muffler delete axle back exhaust would be too loud?I was thinking about getting the Berk Technologies or Remark muffler delete but I’m worried about the loudness especially during cold starts. Spent a few days doing some research on this topic, some say it’s not that loud, others say it is and videos aren’t really a reliable source. I ended up calling a mechanic that specialises in the 86 and he said a muffler delete would be ‘obnoxiously loud’. I know it’s subjective but I’d like to trust his opinion.I wanna know if anyone here has had any experience with an axle back muffler delete system that can give me an idea?To be honest I’m only looking for an increase in sound and I really like the deep tone of the muffler delete. This being around £350 is also why I’m very interested in it as I’d like To spend less than 500 preferably. I have also seen some people say that if only remove the stock muffler/axle back, it would would almost the same as a muffler delete in terms of loudness. Can someone confirm this? I have yet to try this because I’d need to order a new gasket for when I take it off. But if this is a good idea, then I’ll try this first.Im based in London and it would be ideal to hear some of these in person but I don’t think many here would be running a muffler delete system.

  13. I'm selling my Litchfield spec S supercharger kit, as I have now replaced with a turbo set up. The kit was on the car for 18 months and did roughly 15k miles in my ownership (meaning it has done 23k miles in total). A brand new belt and a nearly full bottle Rotrex Supercharger fluid are included in the sale (£140 value in total). I'm asking for £2,000 for the whole kit (see pictures below). The price new from Litchfield was around £4,300. I managed 279bhp with this charger, with great torque improvements. (see dyno print out below). It was installed and tuned by Fensport. This modification gives the car the power curve, power level it should have been produced with. Any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out. Collection is preferred from Littlehampton (BN17 5JU), could potentially meet. N.B. I will be driving to Fensport this coming Thursday (28th June 2018), so could drop with them if you'd like to organise for them to install and tune.

  16. For sale is my grey MY12 Supercharged GT86 – 40k miles. The Sprintex is a positive displacement twin-screw supercharger that brings a heap of midrange torque that gives the car the feeling of a larger engine and no torque dip as well as some extra noise character as it creates a lovely whine as the boost increases. The car was last dyno’d at 240bhp and 195lb.ft at the hubs on a Dynapack dyno (circa. 280-290bhp / 205 lb.ft), which is roughly +80bhp / +55 lb.ft over a stock car. Notably this has been further tuned with the intake and exhaust since this was done so those may be a little conservative. Dyno sheet at the bottom. The EcuTek tune on the car will be configurable to the buyers preference as well. The exhaust system has been chosen to ensure that it has more character and volume than stock but does a job similar to the Q300 in that it keeps the volume down under normal day to day driving. Car has been looked after by Abbey Motorsport and serviced with all receipts. Private plate will be removed before sale. I’m putting the car up at £13,750 O.N.O and all OEM parts that I've kept are available to go with the car, but I will consider removing any of the mods marked with an asterix to put back to N/A and lower the price accordingly. With all parts removed it’s up for £11,750 O.N.O . 19. For some context, I have a 2017 Club orange edition GT86. A few days ago I installed an NRG short hub with an NRG quick release and momo wheel. The install seemed fine. However after the install, I took the car for a quick drive and I got the ABS and slip warning lights on my dash. Which are now permanently on. The car still drives as normal and my steering is straight still. I took my car to a nearby auto electric garage for diagnostic. They have told me that there is a steering angle sensor fault. The code is C1231, which is Steering Angle Sensor Circuit. They also said that the issue was unfixable unless I went back to the stock steering wheel and have the sensors recalibrated with the stock wheel. And that also there’s no way to run this car with an aftermarket wheel. However I’ve seen plenty of people run this car with aftermarket steering wheels before, so am I being lied to here? Would I be best taking it back to Toyota to fix? tl;dr fitted aftermarket steering wheel, damaged steering angle sensor, local garage told me there was no way of fixing this without reverting back to the stock wheel, however I do not want to go back to the stock wheel.
  20. Hi all, I'm pretty numb right now with an issue with my GT86. Bought the car about 4 months ago with 32k on the clock. Today about 2 mins from my house i get this hideous very aggressive knocking sound. So I pull the car up, lift the bonnet to see if what the issue may be but engine is just knocking badly. I turn off the engine and check dip stick which was really hard to remove but got it out and it wont go back in fully. Goes about 75% in. I've done some digging and i've found a forum in which someone uploaded the same noise and the replys from GT86 owners are basically it's a spun rod bearing issue. I've had a few cars and was mechanic apprentice many years ago so had experience with fixing stuff at basic levels but i'm dreading the outcome as it sounds so bad not to mention engine re-build costs ranging from 2.5k :( I'm getting it towed to a garage Friday but just wondering what peoples thoughts are and why the dipstick wont go back in? The mechanic i spoke to who is collecting car mentioned the dipstick tube could have been damaged. Thanks and FML

    GT86 Footage

Hi everyone, I've recently got my own 17 plate GT86 in white and I absolutely adore this car. It has been one of my favourite choices in the driving simulator Assetto Corsa and I'm happy to finally have it in flesh. Below you will find a music video which we created to pay a tribute to this GT86 and we will appreciate it if you check it out. https://youtu.be/OanQBXgnKsk Thanks, Olegs
  22. I have the main listing with more pictures on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/3114215901995490/ Here for sale is my Toyota GT86, I have owned this car for since January 2019 and it has been well looked after in its time. MOT till January 2021. It has 46250 miles on the clock though this will rise as it is used daily to get to work. It has recently had 4 new Toyo TR1 tyres fitted and a fresh 4 wheel computer alignment. Full Toyota service history with the car, 2 keys and Valenti rear taillights. New clutch fitted with the valve spring recall in August 2019. Painted the Calipers red, wheels are in good condition with minor marks on 2 of them. Please note that the head unit will be changed back to the factory one upon sale and the car also would not come with the private plate, standard reg is AO13 JXV. Not looking for a quick sale just testing the water for now. Few stone chips and the marks on the windows as pictured but other than that the car is in good condition. Only selling to free up a bit of money as a change in circumstances at work means I have to.
  23. Hi All, I’m looking to get a GT86 January 2021 and nearly bought one last week, but then after family discussion this was curtailed. My question is I’m looking at a face lift 2017 manual, now I know the first gen and Automatics, even face lift have the plastic D4S cover on then engine intake manifold and plastic dash. But I thought after that all the 2017 models and beyond manual cars got red powered-coated intake manifold and also alcantara dash. Now the 2017 models I have looked at some have no red powdered coated intake manifold, instead it being plastic D4S cover like previous models and a plastic dash. My question, is there some face lift models from 2016-2017 that did not get red powered coated intake manifold and alcantara dash. Or is this a trim level thing? I know for example some American 2017 face lift GT86’s seem to have previous gen Tachometer and or key start. Thanks e.g car if needed https://www.motors.co.uk/car-56084479/?i=1&m=srs
  24. Hi, I am looking for APR carbon overlay diffuser or any other similar style. Preferably not the seibon one (looks the same as OE..). Post what you got even if it would require cutting into bumper. THanks
