  1. $270 including shipping, plus conversion fee and plus import duty when they arrive in the UK. Equates to £230 plus £45 in import fees. They are like brand new. Fensport have them for more than £300 plus delivery. These are available now. If you're not interested then that's fine - I'm open to sensible offers but please don't spread misinformation. Alex
  2. There is a strong possibility that my 86 will be going next week and I'll be putting it back to standard before it goes. Both these parts are at this time still on the car and I'm using this thread to gauge interest in the lights and exhaust. SOLD - Lights have been on since September 2019 and are in the condition you'd expect from 5 month old lights. Looking for £230 for these. The exhaust again has been on the car since September 2019 and is in the condition you would expect. Quick polish of the pipes brings them up shiny 😎 These as you all know are £576 new and you can have this one for £400 with only 5 months use. I'll know Monday afternoon for definite (car is going to be checked mechanically before they pay me but they have placed an offer subject to it being as described). Car is going to a change in circumstances where I need more flexibility (seat space) than the 86 offers. Let me know if you're interested - You could have the whole car as is for £18500 with 13300 miles. Alex

    Insurance Renawal Time

Just tried LV £961 🤢 Think Admiral is worth a punt for 12 months at this rate.

Thanks for the reply - I should have mentioned it's got a TD cat back, Valenti's and a K&N on it now. The Admiral quote is all mods disclosed BUT they do not pay out to replace the mods in the event of loss.
  5. It's that time of year again where I have to renew on the 86. My current insurer (esure) decided to increase this years premiums which must be some sort of reward for my extra year of no claims..... This has led me to shop about. Price comparison websites were all coming in around the same as esure at the £560 mark, I tried Flux but they have come out at £650 which is a shame. Cheapest I can find is Admiral at £350 going to them direct however they review terribly online. I know that people generally write reviews when they are dissatisfied but at the same time it's a bit concerning. Anyone here insure with them? Am I overthinking this? Should I just go with Admiral :/ I'm 37 with 3 years no claims and a clean licence (company car before also with zero claims) and do 7k per year for reference. Alex

Potential future owner - tall person question

Just to echo the above - definitely go test drive the car. I'm 6'4" and I fit but it's close. My issue is the steering wheel can get close to my knee unless my seat is all the way back. It is a shame the cars don't have a little more reach adjustment on the wheel. I have looked at the possibility of fitting lower seat rails and some buckets at some point. I should add I'm also 17 and a half stone so I'm not a small driver. Fingers crossed you fit. Awesome cars!

Thanks for all the replies - as much as I'd love to meet up after collection I don't think it's going to be ready in time. Shame as I'm from North Wales originally and I love the roads! Do you usually put photos and stuff up on here afterwards? I will probably sort out the speakers - it's one thing I didn't try before signing on the dotted line. The car had sold itself already by then! My current car is nothing special but the stereo is pretty good for a standard system. It's a real rabbit hole once you start looking at mods though so much that you can do to these cars. Wish I had a wallet big enough. It's going to be a keeper though so plenty of time for all that! Seems I have Mike@td just up the road as well so I know where to go when I decide to play ha ha Alex

Hi Everyone, Picking up my first 86 on Sunday. Fell in love with the cars as soon as I saw them but had to wait till now to actually own one. Its a 67 plate club series in the subtle orange colour. Seems to be a good community on here - I've been lurking for a while now. Car will remain standards for a while, mainly due to the warranty and the fact that I've had company cars for years so insurance is not so great at the moment.. But eventually I do hope to spend some money and get the thing turbo'd. For now I just want to drive and enjoy it... Roll on Sunday! Alex
